We, the providers of Vicente Roger, M.D., P.A, are here to help protect your family from preventable diseases in a calm and comforting environment.  We are a Pro- Vaccine practice and strongly believe in the proven safety and efficacy of childhood vaccines and support the much-studied schedule of childhood immunizations recommended by the CDC, and AAP.

 

As medical professionals we know the effectiveness of vaccines used in the U.S. has dramatically reduced the incidence of infectious diseases that once routinely killed or harmed many infants, children, and adults.  Most parents today have never seen a case of measles, diphtheria, tetanus, whooping cough or have seen a child crippled by polio.  Because these diseases are far less common now than in the past, some parents have become complacent in their attitude towards vaccination, placing their children and others at risk.  However the viruses and bacteria that cause vaccine-preventable deaths still exist both here in the U.S. and in other parts of the world,   In fact, the CDC reports alarming outbreaks of measles in parts of the U.S. where immunization levels have dropped and warns that a major epidemic will occur if this trend continues.

 

We want to make our parents aware of these facts not to scare you or coerce you, but to emphasize the importance of vaccination.  We encourage any parent who wants to learn more, to visit the websites mentioned below. Because we are committed to protecting the health of your children through vaccination, we recommend all of our patients to be vaccinated. Patients who refuse all vaccines will be counseled on the requirement of vaccination, if they wish to continue as patients.
